His quest for change and positive thinking has been overwhelming since his stay as refugee in Ghana till his return to his home land, Liberia. In 2008!
While in Ghana, he worked with youth groups and individuals to promote peace and community services across the Buduburam Refugee Camp which led to the establishment of *Youth for Unique Development* .
In his quest to help and advocate for refugee students to have access to better education, his organization united many youths and carried on awareness’s on *teenage pregnancy, drugs abuse, and sexual harassment* among young people.
His advocacy and stands against women and child abuse in Ghana and the Mano River countries and his continual fight for community services, gained him recognition as *Outstanding Youth* , and his platform was used to reach out to youth and other partners in the world.
He is the founder and *Chief Executive Officer of Students Aid Liberia* – a non-profit organization that promotes and seeks the welfare of youth and students in Liberia. His aim is to promote good learning atmosphere with qualified instructional staff.
In *2014,* he headed a team of community based organizations and individuals in the fight against *Ebola.*
He is an expert in community initiative and engagement, and a grassroots activist in Liberia and Mano River Countries; designing partnership and plans on governance strategies, giving communities a voice in their own developmental initiative, and never getting tire until the problems are under controlled. Moreover, he has great knowledge on organizational management and administration. He has substantial experience in strategic planning and leading innovative program execution in West Africa.
Mr. Augustine Yeboah , Deputy Secretary General for Administration and Policy Planning.
Augustine Yeboah is the founder of Innovative Development Foundation, Founder and CEO of Innovative Logistics and Engineering Services. He had worked with Standard Chartered Bank, UniBank and Ocean Complex Industry as Operations Manager respectively.
Augustine Yeboah has experience in Family life, early Childhood development, Career and community development.
He has traveled wide and had trainings in leadership development, Psychosocial development, psychology and human relations. He has had a lot of research in malnutrition, community development, food security etc.
He has MBA in Business Management and Cooperate Branding., B.A Marketing and Personnel, Dip. ET Eng. Dip. International Business Communication.
He is a member of many Professional Associations and also a member of C.E.F Inc.Ghana. and Arrow Missions.
Mr. Deng William Alaaka , Deputy Secretary for Governance and Operational Management.
Deng William Alaak is a Global Peace Ambassador as well as Global Goodwill Ambassador and has over seven years of experience working with youth, students, community youth leaders, children and young women in South Sudan and helps them meet their potential vision to become peace ambassadors, young leaders and change agents. He is a transformational leader and social change agent who believes in turning his vision into reality through strategic coalitions and harmonized action. Deng is an Alumni of East Africa Youth Leadership, Open Sources Leaders, and Africa Change Makers. Deng recently founded African Youth Alliance for Sustainable Development Goals (AYA4SDGs) to achieve SDGs Vision 2030. Deng earned a degree in human development from Upper University in South Sudan and a credential certificate of conflict resolution education from Whitaker Peace and Development initiative with support from UNESCO. As the youth leader and trainer for seven years and representing youth at the current peace talk and Executive Director for Voice for Peace, Protection and Development, he has helped to mentor more than 20000 youth over the years with the majority of them taking up leadership positions at government institutions, non-governmental organizations, private sectors, and in society at large. Deng has also worked closely with local authorities, students and youths in communities and government institutions to promote inclusivity and helps strengthen the transparency and openness of public funds, thereby helping promote social accountability and restore the public’s confidence in public service. Deng believes in the power of community and the will of its youth to achieve positive change. Through his work both within and outside his prescribed organization, he has honed invaluable skills in leadership training, conflict resolution training, project management, leadership growth and development, capacity building, youth development, relationship management, analytical and problem-solving skills.
ELIZABETH AKINYI MÖKKÖNEN Deputy Secretary General for Research and Programs Coordination
Elizabeth is a Social Scientist with over eight years’ experience in operations research in Public Health issues. This includes additional training and competencies in Medical & Patient Management in resource-limited areas, with a bias to clinical Care Sexual and Gender Based Violence, HIV/AIDS and Psychological management.
Her major strengths include working with different agencies, in multidisciplinary and multicultural teams and working with communities on public health and advocacy issues as well as organizational development and system strengthening.
She has been a lead consultant for institutions of Health, aiming at improved healthcare services for communities by ensuring access to quality primary health care. She is a founder member and secretary general of the Community Forum For Advanced and Sustainable Development (COFAS) @CofasKenya ( FB Page). @Cofas2012 ( Twitter). which advocates for an inclusive society where persons with different gender and abilities enjoy equal rights and have access to affordable quality health, information, education and rehabilitation services.
Elizabeth also excels in working with vulnerable populations and in difficult surroundings and circumstances. This has enabled her to develop strong character and soft people skills that are key in enabling the achievement of set objectives. She has led (COFAS) team, a Local Associate of ASAP, to carry out a survey on the status of GBV/GE response in relation to HIV in several developing Countries.
She has been actively involved in the development of documentation leading to the mainstreaming of Gender
Equality and Gender Based Violence as central components of strategies, programming, policy and advocacy efforts for the period 2015 – 2020.
Elizabeth is currently a 3rd year Nursing Intern /Student attached at the Jaramogi Oginga Odinga Teaching and Referral Hospital in Kisumu Kenya studying to be a nurse at the ARCADA University of Applied Sciences in Helsinki Finland and looking forward to graduate in December 2018 and there after relocate to Kenya.
